Paired with the high-end 2U rackmount network appliances, such as the FWA-6183 and FWA-6172, powered by AMD EPYC™ 9004 series processors and 4th/5th Gen Intel® Xeon® series, this combination achieves an exceptional 100/200/300/400GbE data transfer speed with up to four NMC-6004FBD cards in LAN bypass mode. This marks a breakthrough in speed, connectivity, security that delivering advanced network performance in most demanding workload applications, such as data center, AI-enable solutions and cloud.

The NMC-6004FBD, powered by NVIDIA® ConnectX-6, delivers true 100GbE high throughput with a message rate of up to 215MPPS, ensuring top-tier network performance. It’s built-in inline encryption and decryption to enhances security at every end-point with support for IPsec, TLS, and AES-XTS encryption technologies, also supports a choice of single-root input/output (IO) virtualization (SR-IOV) and VirtIO in hardware. Operating 24/7/365, it ensures high reliability with fiber bypass capability, supporting both normal and bypass modes to maintain network connectivity during maintenance or failures.


To fully meet the demands of high-end applications, Advantech recommends pairing the new 100GbE NMC with our powerful 2U rackmount appliances. The FWA-6183 is equipped with dual AMD EPYC™ 9004 series processors, delivering up to 192 cores for exceptional computational power and efficiency. It also features 16 x DDR5 DIMM slots, offering a 1.5x memory bandwidth improvement over DDR4. Similarly, the FWA-6172 is powered by 4th/5th Gen Intel® Xeon® processors with up to 104 cores and 16 x DDR5 DIMM slots, providing a 1.7x memory bandwidth improvement over DDR4.


Both the FWA-6183 and FWA-6172 are designed for future scalability and extensive network integration, featuring 8 x NMC expansion slots with PCIe Gen5, supporting up to 400GbE connectivity with a maximum of 4 x NMC-6004FBD cards in LAN bypass mode. To enhance reliability during network security operations, both appliances are equipped with 4 x hot-swappable system fans and the 1200W reduntant PSU, ensuring uninterrupted service. Their advanced cooling mechanisms and power-efficient designs guarantee optimal performance and significant energy savings.

Powered by AMD EPYC™ 9004 series processors and 4th/5th Gen Intel® Xeon® series processors, the FWA-6183 and FWA-6172 deliver high throughput and best-in-class computing power for network appliances. Their multiple ethernet modules allow flexible port configurations. By integrating the NMC-6004FBD, the platform leverages rich I/O design, preventing system bottlenecks when supporting 100G Gigabit connections. The bypass mode enables cross-connection loop-back, enhancing data security and overall system reliability. Additionally, the FWA-6183 can support up to 400GbE connectivity with a maximum of 4 x NMC-6004FBD cards, delivering up to 600 Mpps to secure data during high traffic volumes.
