BCM introduces RiVar-1501, a light weight, dual display POS system with 15.6 inch full HD touchscreen, integrated thermal printer, and NFC/RFID/MSR

BCM, USA, 06.01.2021 - RiVar-1501 is a light weight, all-in-one, multi-functional POS system with 15.6 inch full HD touchscreen available in black or white color schemes. It provides a modern look coupled with simple and ergonomic convenience and space saving features for retail stores and restaurants. RiVar-1501 supports Windows 10, Android, Linux and Ubuntu OS.

Light Weight, Sleek Design, Space Saving, and Fanless Operation

RiVar-1501 is equipped with Intel® Celeron J3455 quad-core processor codenamed Intel® Apollo Lake. This platform enables a low maintenance fanless design with performance computing power of a burst frequency up to 2.30GHz along with integrated Intel® HD Graphics 500 for customer facing 4K video content. The fanless feature also enables thin design and whisper quiet operation with a screen bezel thickness of only 1.4cm.

Rotating Screen for Portrait/Landscape View, Dual Displays

RiVar-1501 mounting stand is designed either for single or dual displays. It has a user-friendly desktop stand with a swivel design. The main 15.6" display can be installed in portrait mode. The display also can be turned left or right angles and tilted up or down. The second touchscreen panel can be tilted up or down providing multiple ergonomic viewing angles for the users.

The system I/O is located at the base of the desktop stand and includes an SD card slot and USB/COM/RJ45/RJ11 ports.

Modular Design, Flexible, Expandable, Customizable

RiVar-1501 is a modular designed product suitable for Point-of-Sales (POS) applications and other HMI applications such as the information/service kiosks, kitchen display system (KDS), and queue management or check-in.

RFID/NFC, Thermal Printer & Optional MSR

RiVar-1501 supports RFID/NFC devices. For POS application, RiVar-1501 provides an optional auto-cut thermal printer built inside the body of the desktop stand. The printer supports 58/80mm paper rolls and delivers printing speeds up to 200 mm/sec. Other options include MSR, SCR and a fingerprint readers which can be mounted on the side of the screen.

When combining all the modules together, the RiVar-1501 is state of the art POS solution providing excellent computing performance, a sleek look, space saving convenience, and an ergonomic user experiences.

Sanitization Safe

RiVar-1501 surface is sanitization safe and can be sterilized at any time. When contactless transactions are not an option, the capability of frequently sanitizing the devices surfaces becomes essential and mandatory. To clean the surface, simply wipe the surface with a clean cloth damped with 70% alcohol or any off-the-shelf laptop sanitization cleaning product.
